“Sorry, you’re kind of blowing my mind…”

“… your life is just so a-typical of society… the level of faith… It’s a lot to think about.” This was shared with me while having conversations with one of the homeowners whose house and cats we were on-site to take care of.

We all tend to ask questions to get to know one another, especially when bringing someone in to your living space. I do regularly ask for God’s discernment for when to “share my pearls” and when to limit what I share(as I have been shown the hearts of many through my years of nomadic living), no matter what I am honest. I was told once that I was, “too honest” but honestly… it feels terrible to be anything less than.

So, why was this woman’s mind having a hard time processing things I was saying?

We have become a little more accepting of the idea of nomads as the year twenty twenty opened up a lot for people to either lock up and hoard or to move around with the ability to work remotely… but, to live nomadically with a complete reliance on our Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, is very rarely heard of. Add being a mom on top of that… pew! You have the perfect recipe for a blown mind. This is not something new for me to hear but has become something that I tend to expect as it is indeed way different and I have already experienced the separation of friends and family due to the complexity of how we live – by no fault of theirs, I get it, life is already tough on it’s own and to try to digest and keep up with the regular moves of my life is just not of priority.

This alone is one of the reasons I feel God places me in such positions and with specific people. It is important to share about the many testimonies of our life and how HE wants to move people to chew on and process this more, to remember who HE is and how this is not abnormal but actually the way HE has brought about HIS glory through the generations and almost every book of the Bible. This is also one of the many reasons God has encouraged and has started to confirm that inspiration on writing a book. God desperately wants to connect/REconnect with HIS children and if people are too distracted by this world… what better way to get someone’s attention than by placing a woman and child who look better than they should when you hear all they have lived and are sharing about how good God is, to feel the very real level of peace and joy from them that doesn’t make sense but she says it is Jesus and to believe her while also feeling a level of comfort when she says she will be praying for you..?

So, while I finish this post before putting too much in one place, I would like to ask you… when was the last time that you talked with Jesus and/or asked Him to show up in your life? Let me know in your comments below or send me a private message through the contact page.
