80%

With complete transparency… I have no idea what this post is supposed to be. All I know is that the Holy Spirit continues to tell me that I need to write and there is something about eighty percent. So, here goes. Holy Spirit take the lead.

Eighty percent of people in your life are not actually in your life – they are not really involved. If you were to change your environment, about eighty percent of people you considered friends or family will go on without any void.

Eighty percent of what you think you know you don’t.

Eighty percent of what you have is not needed.

Eighty percent of who you think you are does not even compare to who you really are.

Eighty percent of your ideas will flop.

When you think you love someone with all of you… it is really only eighty percent and even that is only about twenty percent of the amount that your Father in Heaven loves you.

Eighty percent is one of those amounts where you just settle. When you think, ‘oh, it’s good enough.’. You might be okay with eighty percent in your fuel tank but you definitely will get charged for more if you return a rental car with only eighty percent. Eighty percent is a fair enough grade on a paper but it won’t get any accolades. If you considered eighty percent you would be lightly above average, not much to “write home about” you could say.

So, I guess what it really comes down to is this.

Where in your life are you only living eighty percent? What are you accepting but not truly living? Who do you love just out of convenience? How are you operating just a bit above average? Are you ready to pay the price for just settling or do you want to know what it means to be truly alive? Do you know how worthy you and your life is?
