I said this with a bit of intrigue and confidence after the enemy was attempting to manipulate my thoughts and images as my toddler was testing his limits with a burst of energy. I recently had an aha moment when I learned about how we are loved as humans and have the ability to be redeemed from our sins due to the fact that we live in a time that is not everlasting. Adam and Eve were sent out of the garden so that they did not eat the fruit from the tree of life and live forever while also having their eyes opened to good and bad; they were sent in to the fallen world.
Now, I’m pretty sure every mom is aware of the incredible emotional, mental and spiritual attacks that take place as a mother. But, how many women have really sat with this, faced and saw it for what it really was? I admit, it is an overtime task to focus on a child’s best, making sure we hold ourselves together and fight off the various attacks from the world and the enemy – it is truly a warrior role. So, why does the devil care so much about mothers? Obviously he targets children because they come in to this world wide-eyed and eager to know about everything and if he can break the barrier/guardian in charge of protecting the child then he gains a soul (briefly, if at all, we hope). So, the enemy attacks and attacks and attacks the mother in order make any amount of crack to slither in the child’s influence, but here is where it gets really interesting…
While the enemy thought he was winning by establishing disobedience between the children and Father of all, God never stopped loving them in fact He saved them from the devastation that the devil was living for his entire life. You see, lucifer was a beloved angel and had the front row experience of what our Father’s love is, he lived in the world that we long to return to from this world. Satan shifted from adoration and reverence to our Father into disrespect, pride, arrogance and a desire to be above the creator. Satan was already living in the everlasting and therefor when he was thrown out he was doomed to continue to live a fallen life and ultimately be sent in to his own pit of destruction. We, however, were saved and saved and saved repeatedly in order to make sure that we have a chance to come home with our Father.
The relationship and importance of daughter and Father is big and has it’s own degrees of necessary healing, but our Father is great, full of love and slow to anger… no only that, He also trusts His daughters with His children. For as it is written, “But women will be saved through childbearing — if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.” [1 Timothy 2:15]. While Eve’s disobedience created a rift and a means for labor pains, God also knows that going through child birth and rearing that his daughter is learning what it means to truly love and a very small percentage of how much God loves His children. So what the enemy meant for harm and destruction, God has used for His grace.
The enemy is jealous of the way God loves us, he is jealous of how we love our children and burning with jealously on how we choose to be strengthened by/with Jesus. Where love was and could have grown, the devil has allowed pride and jealousy to take over – he hates, despises us because he not only loses in the end but is never able to know love again and wants to take as many in to the darkness as possible to create an illusion of “ruling” which is just filling time until his ultimate demise.
Here it is momma’s! Call it as it is, call it out plainly and let the enemy know that not only to do see him, you know that you are a worthy child of the true kingdom and you will be loved more as you continue to cling the grace and glory that is our King.
