God has a way of placing seemingly ordinary people in our paths that end up being angels and His hope dealers. I think what pleases me most is how He gives these people ability to observe me properly and also provide the words and whatever else needed. There is a linkedin connection that has sent me the most loving and spirit filled messages seemingly out of the blue. I have had a lyft driver who shared with my son that Jesus and he talked before picking us up and the random baker who gave us bread and juice because, “God has been good to him.” God is the greatest connector of all and knows exactly when He needs to recharge our hope in Him.
We are currently in a hotel room as there was no option for a house sit until the weekend and thankfully found a cheap room with breakfast included. We have an angel in our life that has stayed in touch for the past couple years. This woman has found space in her heart for us and has not let go, she has stayed in touch in and out through the 70 ways we have slept and when available has helped make sure we have the basics in times like this. I give thanks every day for this woman and ask God to continue to bless her and lead her through her generosity. I was able to get a room last night with the money I had left and am now able to stay for the week due to this compassion and resources of our dear friend and angel.
I had just got us situated in the new room; it was time for us to get water and whatever other food I could find good for us while here. As, I walked around the entire circle K convenient store and look at all the options. My head begins to just swim with the what ifs, whys and hows. Why are three little apples four dollars? What is healthy ish for us? How will our life change and when? While also responding to my son’s every question of wants, what are these, can I have this questions.
I finally gathered up our protein bars, trail mix, veggie stick chips, cheese, cuties and of course a coffee and set it on the counter. The guy behind the counter was decent with me as I continued to look around before dropping everything that I was juggling and to fill up the coffee cup. As, I was ready to check out he very calmly in between the ring ups said, “you are doing great.” I look up at him and realize that he is giving me a very loving reminder and message from our Father. At first I just responded with, “God is so good.” and he continued with, “I can see you are struggling a little and just want you to know that you are doing really well.” At this point I start crying. I am usually the one that lets people know they look good or that they are doing well and this random clerk has now in turn become one of God’s helpers for me. I told him that God has a way of placing people in our lives to give us His messages and I thank him. He extends his hand to me and holds it and just gives me more confirmation on how I am doing well. He tells me that we are always welcome here and that everything is going to be getting better and then asks if I wanted a hug. This man lets me finish pointing out a penny to my son, bag up our things and walks around the counter to give me a hug. I am crying now again just thinking about how precious these moments really are. We both blessed one another and he points to the Jesus picture that is in the corner behind the counter and he said, “He is up every day.” We said our farewells and God bless yous as we continued our day.
I had not the best interaction with the front desk lady at the hotel shortly before that and really just getting to a point of readiness yet fully in alliance with God through all of our ins and outs. I shared with my angel adopted family member how much I appreciated the space because I have noticed how just the simplest of tasks are seemingly difficult questions lately – like when the card asks if you want cash back or do we want to change rooms or even what to do with it all. I blessed the situation and gave it to God saying, I trust you and I really need you. Our loving awesome Father sees, hears and feels all which is why Tank was given the message and hug for me.
If you would like to contribute to supporting us while encouraging my inspirational messages you can do so here. If you want to just buy me a coffee and keep me going, that can be done here. Send me a contact message for private prayer requests and add a like her to just let me know my words are being received.
Every hug is a worthy contribution, don’t turn down an offer when it presents itself.
