As mentioned in the previous post, there are so many layers and depths to go in to when diving in with God in to His word. This is actually one of the many reasons I love reading the Bible so much, every time there is something new in the reading and in myself. With living out of a suitcase, books are something that are just too much weight to add, but the Bible is worth its weight in making sure that it is always with me/us. Let’s go a little further in to the talk about women and how important it is to know the foundation that we create. Fun fact, Ima is how a mother is called in Hebrew/Jewish traditions and it translates to foundation.
Let’s go to the beginning and to the end now. Genesis 3:15, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”” Eve had hoped that the completion would be during her lifetime but sin and death kept showing up more and our Father had His sight on the long game knowing that there was only going to be one way for this work. The son, the word and our savior had to come in the form of flesh as our spotless lamb. This had to be done through a woman.
As Jesus began His ministry He cleansed many and had many women as disciples and even financial supporters. In fact, it was a woman that He first shared openly with that He was the living water, the messiah. As His ministry continued into His sacrifice it was the women who stayed through the entire brutal suffering, death and burial. These women were also the first to get to the tomb to see that He resurrected and were also sent to give message to the men.
Jesus literally changes everything.
Here is yet another word on this beautiful connection with daughter and Father – “But women will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.” (1 Timothy 2:15), while we were told that our childbirth pains would be much we were also given much in this role of stewarding His children – amazing grace with an even greater trust.
While I know that it crushed our Father that the fall even happened, it is such a great gift to be able to reconnect and even more beautiful to do so while knowing our Lord Jesus. Are you a woman that has found value in this? Or do you have a woman in your life that you can recognize as a strong pillar of faith for you? I would love to hear from you and discuss further. In a time in history when there could be a lot of confusion on roles as women, I want to you to know how incredibly important you are as His daughter. Thank you for your time.
