Water Your Worth

“Yeah, I think He was a pretty cool guy…” I had said once with a head full of dredlocks and beads working as pizza delivery person at a college town bar in my early twenties. I drop my head with this memory now as I know just how much Jesus has been with me through literally everything and how much He truly truly loves me. Like a lot of us in this world there is a time when we get swayed off of the path we were created for and due to the hurt and the lies that seem so accurate from the enemy the view of our perfect teacher, friend and savior gets diluted.

I am sharing this very real post because I believe that God is using all that I have experienced, done and said for others – hence the every day work on writing the book. But, this is something I believe a lot of us in the world can relate to. Whether we have been hurt in or from the church or just the everyday battles of the fallen world… most of us have fallen short, looked away from Jesus believing the lies about how things are and who we are. Thankfully, Jesus didn’t take as much offense to my statement as I felt crushed by saying – He knows that I was tangled up in the other and that I would be coming back to Him and He never gave up on me.

“Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures: ” ‘ The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?” (Matthew 21:42) This verse got my attention in a different layer this week as this memory came to mind again. You see, I did indeed reject our Lord for a while, sought out other religions and spiritual practices while participating in the ways I was manipulated to believe I was in this world for. However! To the demise of the enemy and his hopes to keep me down, the stone that I once rejected has totally become my absolute cornerstone. Once I returned to Jesus and saw how He is literally the only name and way to clear the path of the enemy while at the same time being renewed… there has been a transforming and strengthening that can only be done with the support of the one firm foundation.

I spent years believing that I was just a “play thing” and then using substances of many kinds to numb the absolute disgust and hurt that goes with that kind of temple/self destruction. I shared a pretty long testimony on my youtube channel about how and why I am so on fire for Christ. I believe that most of us who know the dark world and have been saved from it have a fire now that just wants to burn away all that has been in our own lives and others, never wanting to turn back. I was recently encouraged that due to my history and new age involvements that my light will help others who are seeking but on the wrong path. If I can just get one person to pause and ask themselves if what they are doing is actually establishing life or if they are still feeling the emptiness of life while attempting some connection that they know inside them is available to them, then I trust that the spark has been initiated and a flame can spread in them to create clarity for whose they truly are. This is a small part of my testimony that is for whoever needs it now or in the future as I want to encourage as many as possible about the incredible life that we have been given through the life Jesus gave for us. You are worth knowing. You the real you. You were made on purpose and with great intentions and nothing you have done or do can take away the love that the Lord has for you. Nothing. This is why I know the importance of the cornerstone, this is why I give thanks for literally everything and why I use my spiritual connection as prayers so fervently for the Kingdom now. He is so worthy to get to know and to know beyond, “Yeah, He was a pretty cool guy….”. He gave us everything, literally everything in life and everything of His life. Don’t let the enemy blur that from your mind; when you know the value of what He gave and with such great purpose… hearts break and open up for His love to be brought in and this terrifies the darkness. Let Him in, He will help you overcome anything dark in or around you bringing you back on the path of life.
