Water Your Worth

Space man….

Space is huge! Space is everywhere. We have our own space and there is the space in between (cue the Dave Matthews song). Space important to acknowledge for self and others… but… what about the space that is actually taking life away? What?

So many are filling space in their days and life with life draining things – shows, parties, social media, news, smoking and drinking are just a few of the socially acceptable life sucks that are not even realized as what they are. Too often humans are trying to fill a void, a lack of understanding, a missing of love or even just simply wanting to numb out from the world. It is easy. It is everywhere. And, it is taking from you in more ways than just time…

There is a space that you were made from, there is a space your were meant to fill and there is a space that is very vital and important that is being subtlety taken from you.

A few weeks ago I got the suggestion from Holy Spirit, “Why don’t you just delete that and read with Me instead?” “Yeah. Okay.”, it made perfect sense to me. I was using a tetris type game to fill the space of my mind, heart and other in order to “manage” (so I thought) my over stimulations and feelings of life, but it was not an escaping that I needed… it was a drawing in nearer that was needed. This could only happen by me making deliberate choice to read, pray and seek Him in the gap times, in the nap times and really any time.

I have noticed that this is a greater pandemic on livelihood than is noticed and definitely talked about. So many are escaping but not even realizing that they are or who they are escaping from. The world is fallen and thrives on humans being fed off of and led along paths that feed the fallen nature instead of the life we are meant to live. All too often it is easy to turn away from the Only One that can do anything about the feelings and the life that we live – I mean after all He is the One that made us and has the plans for our best lives. All too often it is easier to maintain any amount of what you think is control instead of all there to be any amount of breaking and surrendering to allow for ultimate life and love to be filled in the spaces that we as humans have been manipulated to think is weakness. All too often there is a running to anything, for anything just to satisfy some aspect of self.

But, you see… here is the plot twist. We were not meant to live for our selves. We were not meant to do any of “it” on our own. We were made for a purpose. We were thought of and every bit of everything is an intricate thread in this amazingly huge picture that is only seen by the One creator.

I know life is overwhelming. I know very well how supposedly unfair some things seem. I also know all too well that there has been purpose in the growth and the breaking. There is no greater soil than being in the darkness as the seed breaks open and allows for great roots to be established into and with the only foundation of real life there is. It is not easy to let go of self but it is so very worth it and life is so much better when filled with the life giving connection that we are truly meant to thrive in.

Would you take a challenge with me? Separate from everything that is separating you from feeling and invite Him into the parts of you that you are not even wanting to acknowledge are there. Give yourself at least twenty one days to submerge into something other than the patterns that you have now established and see for yourself what you feel.
