Water Your Worth

I have seen how we tend to often mis-use this statement and declaration as if what we do is who or whose we are… this is definitely something that takes some more deliberation in those very pivotal intro conversations. While I plant this for us all to be more aware of, I want this post to be focused on the totally incorrect use of this and how it has been manipulated, corrupted and used against us and God.

If you have heard or taken a yoga class you would be familiar with the aum, this is taught that it is the vibration of the universe and means I am, it is taught to focus on in meditation with claims that it will align the body, mind and soul. The word yoga actually means to yoke and while most teachers are told that it is to yoke you (again) to your body, mind and spirit… this is completely against Truth. There very well is a vibration in all things and that is God’s and we are definitely supposed to be yoked but to Him who saves. The very core of yoga sentiments and practices are selfish, self serving and interacting with more darkness than most realize or want to acknowledge. These are bold statements, I know, but, I also come from a place of being in it, teaching it and observing it. If you want to look into this more, I would say go ahead and take a look at all the “guru’s” that either established a new form of practice or are listed as the head of a program – look at them personally and what kind of person they are behind the scene. I was one that fell for the image and was excited to be brought in as one of the firsts to teach at a top studio when I finished my teaching program and saw pretty quickly how fake and lost everyone really is. Once I was let go I focused on more therapeutic alignments and movements but was still caught up in a lot of deception and sin.

There is One God and maker of the entire universe and it is His, there is also an enemy and he hates all that God has made and loves because he was defeated and doomed to an eternal life of darkness, making him the king of all darkness. Do to his own fate, he wants to destroy any and all connection with God and bring more down with him, hurting God and destroying those that fall. It is written that we were made in “His image and likeness” (Genesis 1:26) Being in His image and likeness we are to recognize Him as our Creator and not the plethora of creations that claim to be anything of a god (including ourselves). “”I AM WHO I AM.” Then He said, “You are to say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM’ has sent me to you.” (Exodus 3:14) God, the maker of heaven and earth and everything is the Great I AM, there is no other name and we are not to mis-use the name of the Lord. Here is where we need a reality check and some deeper awarenesses in order to be in proper alignment; the enemy was close to God, he knows the Word and he knows His name… and he uses it to create every kind of deception that has been presented to mankind – from the very first fall and until he gets sent to his destruction, he has and will twist, manipulate and attempt every kind of deception he can in order to take you away from whose you are and who you are. You, are made in God’s image! Isn’t that beautiful and awesome?! Why would we want anything less than that image? Why would we want to be in alignment with anything other than the one that makes the sun rise, gives flowers their beauty, makes the bumble bee fly, set the stars in place and whose very name is our breath..?

Here is the next trick in all of this. “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11-30) Due to the initial fall and the way sin has completely taken over, Jesus came to save us and undo what the enemy has done and bring us in true alignment as we were made to be from the beginning. Jesus asks and declares that we are to be yoked to/with Him because it is the only way that we will be able to steer clear from the deceptions, let go of our burdens and find freedom in/through/with Him and be able to return Home; the real Home, the Home that all of our hearts long for and know that this world cannot satisfy. He came to lift us up out of death and show us how to live so that we can be satisfied and be free from dark slide into forever torment. He loves us SO much!

It goes even deeper. While Jesus, Yeshua, walked the earth He made all the bold I AM statements directing us that it is only through and with Him that we will be able to return to the “image and likeness”. When we know Him, learn from Him and walk toward and with Him everything becomes clear and these revelations are easy to see, to surrender and to change into the making more (real) conscious focused decisions to be on the narrow path – the path the life(!) filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control and so much more.

We were made on purpose and for so much more. False gods and practices won’t fill that space inside, you already know that and have felt it – we are not to fill ourselves with more of ourself image and especially not any of the kingdom of darkness but, to open ourselves up to the Real Image and to be properly transformed. It is a beautiful thing. I will say from personal perspective, I love who I am and continue to become, looking back on who I was… no thanks. I promise you, He is worth it, you just have to take one step toward him and He will help you, ask Him for help and let Him lead you.

And maybe for a little “homework”, sit with the question of: Who are you? (for real) Do you know? I will share that when I was going through these motions of living, I did not know who I really was I labeled myself with everything I was doing but… the sins (we never want to acknowledge the darkness when we are immersed in it because then it makes it real and unavoidable). Are you able to see and call yourself out? And even greater… are you able to turn to Him who made you and He who gave his life for you, can you meditate with Him… the Great I AM?
