I have a couple blogs rumbling through my mind but figured it’s a good time to break up the serious/personal talks with a little wellness blogging. After all, this was started initially for health and wellness and while I believe in total wellness, I also know that not everyone cares about all the in depth spiritual and life talks. I will also say first, that only you and God know what is best for you and so this is not a blog about what diet you should or shouldn’t do, but a simple discussion on some things I have found helpful in my wellness journey and why. So let’s get in to it.
Moringa is one of my usual regulars and by usual regulars I mean that I pretty much always make sure I have it on hand. Being named as “the Wonder Tree”, this tree is literally filled with all kinds of wonderful for our wellbeing – with 3 times more potassium than bananas, 5 times more iron than spinach, 4 times more vitamin A than carrots, 7 times more vitamin C than oranges, 4 times more calcium than milk and 2 times more protein than yogurt – this is literally a complete plant. Moringa also acts as an antimicrobial, allowing the body to fight off infections and heal more rapidly. I appreciate the powder form most but it can be used in a variety of ways. growmoringa.shop is one of the best quality shops I have found online, they are organic based in the United States, ethical and not only have every kind of morninga you could need, but also teach you how to grow your own!
Colloidal Silver is one of those all around solutions to have around – cleans mucus, antibacterial, boosts immunity, helps with inflammations and cleans! I have put this on everything and know it plays a huge role in our staying healthy and is all natural. I recommend the 10ppm as it is a more pure solution and stronger so gets the job done quicker instead of buying more. I have found that the more people are realizing the value in having this solution the harder it is to find in stores and the prices have gone waaay up. Try finding a local natural store first to support small businesses. As much as I do not want to encourage Amazon, I have found some great prices and quality there when it was not in any stores. (side note: there have been some scare media out about how this is not a good thing (mainly because a guy turned blue because he made his own and submerged himself in it – because he thought it was that awesome, and because it is really the real deal for helping people be healthy.)
Adaptogens – these are naturally derived substances that help allow the body to counteract the damaging effects of daily stress while promoting a healthy physiological functioning. I have used adaptogenic mushrooms (lions mane, turkey tail, reishi, chaga) and I really like making a nice adaptogenic mushroom coffee that way I got my boost without the jitter starting my day with a bright mind. I label this as adaptogens because I was fully committed to the mushrooms but recently switched to Holy Basil/Tulsi capsules as it seems to have a little more of a cooling energy effect (not actual cooling but the essence is). I believe that there is an adaptogenic substance that is perfect for each of us and that we might have to rotate based upon our own hormone levels. For instance, maca is a great adaptogen that I also used to enjoy but found that it was a bit heavier on the testosterone hormone and I did not need any more of that at the moment. Some people do well with ashwaghanda and some have had adverse feelings with it. This is one of those times when I find it helpful to tune in to your body and God’s essence in you to see what you need to help you through whatever hormone imbalance your body has or based on the stressors that you experience.
I have rotated through a lot of natural products through the years and continue to live healthy naturally. These three are just on the top of my typical priority list. Here are some ways that I like to tune in to see if it is something that my body and I need: I keep looking at it in the store and do not know why it is catching my attention – I will go and take a look and then prayerfully check in to see if it is something that I need or if it just happened to catch my eye, it keeps coming to my mind to look into – the Holy Spirit is always working with His spirit within us and sometimes we need things to slap us in the face to get our attention, other times I have to ask in prayer what it is that I should be looking for to help with whatever I am experiencing.
Have you found any of this helpful? Let me know if you have any questions about a certain herb, natural substance or solution that you would like some input on. As always, thank you for your time in reading!
