“And a lot of mom’s don’t understand that; The right thing in the wrong season is the wrong thing and wrong thing in the right season is the wrong thing.” This is the exact message Holy Spirit led me to hear from Lisa Bevere with a quick youtube distraction after a mom moment.
“I just want to poop alone… give me a little space, please baby…” Is the statement and request that I made with my toddler that initiated a complete meltdown on their end with, “I just need to see yooouuu!!!” “Oh, Lord, please help…”, I sighed and tried to retreat from it with a quick youtube check in which Holy Spirit used to convict me and re-confirm my role with me.
To be a mother is nothing to take lightly and is truly a great honor to be trusted with and each season has to be respected and accepted accordingly. For now, we are in the season where mom gets to hold conversations while pooping, before it was a season that challenged me being able to wash my hair… each season has a purpose as well and all of it is in the producing of the most abundant of fruit. Acknowledging the well directed message and giving thanks with also being able to receive it well, led us to hold apologies with each other and more accepting poop talks today.
While poop isn’t a talk that most want to talk about it is a thing everybody does. Did you know that dogs will usually look to their owner or caretaker while they poop because they know it is a naturally vulnerable time and they want to make sure that someone else is looking out for them? While we are not dogs… I do think there is something about the security needed by both child and mom during this annoyingly normal occurrences and the statement received by Lisa Bevere held more direction than just the poop time but, it is true – forcing my child to give me space when he feels he needs to see me is the wrong thing.
Thank you, Lord, for the perfect and on time message to help redirect my selfishness into aligned acceptance.
Do you know what season you are in?
